Yes, they get much, much better. Then they start to suck again. Then they get OK.

Funny thing, I watched this movie over the weekend without even realizing that it was featured here.

Shit, so did I and I didn't realize it until you pointed it out.

So sorry. I know how it feels.

I think EVERYONE did Miami Mice as a parody. The local wacky morning show did one with Sprockett and Stubbs. Stubbs ended up getting eaten by a cat, if I remember correctly.

I made a bacon cheeseburger stuffed meatloaf that the family raved about. I thought it was OK, but since they seemed to like it, it'll make it into my dinner rotation.

I don't drive, so he is my designated driver now. Rugrat #1 was oh too willing to accede his position.

My youngest got his license, so I'm not sure if it's Hooray this Shit or Oh Shit! Hooray, I guess. We no longer have to cart him around. He can cart me around now.

Just finished Since We Fell by Dennis Lehane. It was good, but not great. Also reading one called Poison by Galt Niederhoffer that seems like it's trying to be a literary version of Gone Girl. If it doesn't pick up, I'll wallbang it.

I have no idea what it's called, since the cover and first few pages are long gone, but my mom always called it "The Hunky Cookbook." It has recipes from former first ladies, Lady Bird Johnson, Mamie Eisenhower and current First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, which tells you how old it is.

I actually liked the Lily Shakespeare series second best. My favorite was Harper Connelly, and I was seriously pissed when she dropped it (with a very shitty final novel, I might add) just to continue with Sookie because the TV show was so popular. I gave up on Sookie about 3 books in.

This was my first thought as well. And I get chills every time I listen to it The raw emotion in this is just phenomenal.

Upvote for Moby Dick

Mine is retiring in October. I won't miss her slow work, her constant "headaches," her multiple daily calls to her kids and husband.

Starting tomorrow, I'm on vacation until next Thursday. No reason, other than not wanting to go to the company wide Pirates game tomorrow and sit in the 90 degree heat to watch a game I don't like. Also, there's a little bit of screw my co-worker in there because a check cycle is coming up on the days I'm off and

Not cooking anything much of interest, but I used my grill as an oven the other day because it was too damn hot to put the oven on. Worked out great. I"m going to try it again tonight.

When I was on a Romero kick, I rented every one of his movies. Some were masterpieces, some were good, some were OK, and some were "There's Always Vanilla."
