I think the wedges were cute (which sneakers assuredly would not be), but you’re correct, wedges are impractical for pretty much anything other than making sure my butt looks cute while clomping across sand.  On non-sand surfaces, regular heels are actually much more maneuverable. 

I like her, but female employees are put at risk by these laws, and the film industry should move to where their employees will be safer.

I definitely don’t do this, but my mom has also always slept in her makeup and washed/reapplied the next day, and she has great skin. And she cannot afford anything.  So this make work for some people simply because they are very lucky.

Oh, I agree. Getting into showdowns for the sake of getting into showdowns is unproductive. But I have known people who extrapolate wildly from helpful advice like the above into unhelpful overkill of underlying principle.  I have known people who thought their children should never hear the word no.

Yeah, I’m a fountain pen user, so I carry another pen on me for borrowers, because I really, really, am not willing to let you press too hard on the nib of my Monte Verde.

Am I the only one who thinks the Lamy is an ugly pen? Obviously these are tools, so quality is the most important thing, but fountain pens are also beautiful objects, and I just really hate how the Lamy looks.

Yeah, any time I’m skipping a meal and replacing it with snacks, I’m opening up a big old can of worms. Because planning out 3 meals is a chore. Planning out 5 meals is a job. It would quickly devolve into eating whatever I feel like, and frankly, “whatever I feel like” is too much food.

If I had to choose a single item to eat at every meal, I could do a  lot worse than breakfast burritos.

I mean, I said tastiest, so I don’t know where you got “fiber content” and “nutritional value”. But regardless, my morning oatmeal is very good on fiber.

I’m not much of a sweet tooth, actually, but I adore sausage, eggs, bacon, and toast.
