Mad Madam Mim: The Revenge

He started out using the same number clipper guard all around, but it made him feel self-conscious, so it’s a bit more complicated now. I should probably be more explicit here and say that the two hours also includes showering, because unlike at a barbershop, somehow a home haircut will leave itchy remnants unless you

Literally, the question in the article is whether it saves money.  You should value your time above zero.  You’re worth it.

It would probably take him about 30 minutes, and he would get it literally any time, because he works freelance.

Most of the time is cleaning up and set-up. Clippers throw hair everywhere, and my husband’s hair is like splinters. It is truly the courses, sharpest hair I’ve ever had the misfortune to get stuck in my arm. And he is missing out on work, because he is an independent contractor, and he absolutely could spend that

I save money on haircuts by keeping it long. So I get a professional $60 cut every 6 months.

I just emailed this and a few other articles to my assemblymember. It’s time for a legislative remedy to this exploitation. Since Disney is held to higher standards for the welfare of their child performers, it would be great if that enormous corporation would back legislation to protect child performers on YouTube.

Ban children under the age of 18. Seriously. No children should be exploited for fucking YouTube.

I am so ambivalent about even posting pictures of my daughter on Instagram, because she is too young to consent to her image being out there. I cannot even imagine purposefully making my child cry to get attention.  These people don’t deserve to have children.

This entire family vlogging thing should be illegal, or at the very minimum, held to the same standards Nickelodeon is responsible for when they put children on tv.

That is what I had thought when I moved out here, but there are “business zones” that can have high-rises in most cities here (including mine). They aren’t in seismically less active areas, but in areas considered downtowns. And they include residential development, but they are just very small geographic areas.

Wait, is this really going to be the end, or are you giving me false hope?

I’ve seen some early rough cuts, and I think it will go something like this:

EA?

I fundamentally do not understand the height restrictions in Southern California. I have looked around my neighborhood so many times and thought, “This city would look so much better with taller buildings.” But I looked up zoning a few months ago, and most of the city is prohibited from anything over 2 or 3 stories.”

You’re right, there are so many ways to use it. I, for one, am always surprised that people want to see more of their friends’ posts and fewer brands. I don’t particularly like seeing my friends’ pets and vacation photos- I only follow them to be polite.

I actually resent seeing stuff from people I know.  I really just want to see art and artisans and fashion and architecture.

So many!  Instagram is where I find all my favorite goth content, clothing and jewelry and housewares and artists, oh my!

Isn’t the whole point to wear something no one else is wearing?”

I really wish I hadn’t seen this, because I desperately want everything from Reformation, but I do not have a budget to buy like 15 $200+ dresses right now.

Toile is for dressing like an idealized French aristocrat, not an idealized poor person, and I am here for it.  The top right Reformation dress is lovely, and Réalization has a bunch of dresses that would look perfect on Violet Bick in It’s a Wonderful Life.  1930s to 40s fallen woman is kind of a great look, so, yes
