@bowleserised: He's actually an Australian citizen living in Britain but still can't be accused of committing treason.

@weirdette: Also, English and whatever the hell language it is she's been speaking.

Dear Sarah Palin,

A few weeks ago, Morning Gloria wrote an exemplary post that was shared among my friends about celebrating our strength. It was about recognizing that pushing our bodies to be stronger, faster, to be more, was a worthy goal. It was great to celebrate what we could do rather than what we look like.

@Ivriniel: Which is recognition, again, of the discrepancy in social standing, and an attempt to remedy that. It's a long-standing tradition where the woman marries beneath her, so to speak, to hyphenate the name so that her husband gains a more equal status in society. Honestly, I'm not sure why you're quibbling

@Ivriniel: That was the point. She was elevating his status by hyphenating their names. Had he been of greater social standing, she would have taken his last name; as her rank was higher, their names were hyphenated to make their social ranks more equal.

@Ivriniel: Traditionally, the name is not hyphenated unless the bride is of at least equal and usually greater social standing, which isn't the case.

@thebestofjillhives: She'll be known as Princess Catherine, and one of the reasons she has been accepted as a consort for the future king is because of her willingness to acquiesce to matters of royal tradition—such as not hyphenating the name.

@girl_talk: Until such point that they move to their own room.

Come on, Jezebel! If Gawker TV can post video clips that can be played outside of the U.S., surely you can as well.

@day2night: She's one of the great gay icons of this generation. I don't think she's out of touch. I do think she's still processing something that is seriously impactful. Every statement from her has been very supportive of Chaz, but she's gone on a journey as a mother as well, and it's normal, natural and OK for her

Both horrifying and awesome. It's horrsome.

@CondoleezaRicin: It's a parenting book that was written by a man named Gary Ezzo. He promoted ideas such as scheduled feedings for newborns, which on the surface don't sound horrible, except that his methods neglected what the nutritional needs of the infant were and left many newborns undernourished and many mothers

Meh. It's just another incarnation of the natural parenting/attachment parenting spectrum. There's nothing ooky about it. Most new parents are a bit dogmatic about their particular philosophy but eventually mellow out to the general "take what works for your family, ignore the rest."

@traumamama: How so? I find Christine O'Donnell reprehensible, but if Jezebel and Gawker open the door—and I'll admit that it doesn't really bother me that they do—they can't feign outrage when people walk through it.

Meth is nasty, kids.
