@roodles: Because there really is a culture of outrage here lately.

"There was lots to love if you dig pure, straight-up, 80s-style glamour."
In one of the episodes of Ricky Gervais's Extras, Coldplay's Chris Martin is shoehorned into the show in such a contrived, obvious and awkward manner that Ricky's character is understandably horrified.
@Underling: I could get behind some irrational Albertan discrimination.
I would own power meetings in #10.
@MadFab: This time, with actual video.
She's got the "So help me God, if you don't settle down right now . . . " look.
@buttercup118: Again, you're assuming that the omission of Pax is Angelina's rather than an editorial choice. A lot gets cut out of an interview during the writing and editing process. And many writers don't even get to make the call on what gets edited out of their final version. Unless a transcript of the interview…
@Federov: Assuming one could tell the difference at first glance.
Frankly, I find public ignorance far more offensive than public breastfeeding.
@Moretta: Or an editorial choice by the writer.
@Tavi: Tavi, don't give it a second thought. Keep in mind that a lot of snark comes from a place of insecurity and jealousy. There aren't many of us who can claim the same kind of bona fides you can, let alone at the age of 14.
@buttercup118: Yes, I bet she secretly despises him.
@phoblog: I'm with you. It depends on where the cutline was written, of course. I'm pleased when it doesn't read, "Woman horrifies onlookers and offends public sensibilities by discreetly nursing where everyone can see her."
@phoblog: But that's my point. Holding is just part of the continuum of care, as is nursing. It's so normal that it's not even worth a mention. Check out this photo and the caption that reads "Woman weaving a basket."
@phoblog: Because in most places on earth, nursing one's child is a wholly unremarkable thing to do, to the point that mentioning that its nursing would be as obvious and unnecessary as commenting from which breast its meal is flowing.
@MizJenkins: I'm guessing not.
@i-enter-data: a) There is a world of difference between breastfeeding a baby in a restaurant and changing said baby's diaper at the table.
@sterlingsilver36: I'm not convinced that it is!
