Luke warm take time. Pappy is mostly just over priced. I’ve had the 10 and 15 and they are fine, but the mystique is more about small supply which they have leveraged to create demand. There are plenty of better bourbons even at the retail price point.

I saw a little documentary about an archaeologist in the 1930s who stumbled on a Nazi plot to find ancient magical relics.  Was real good stuff.  

For what it’s worth, mysticism and the Far Right have gone hand in hand from the beginning. A lot of Nazis were deep into psuedo-mystical bullshit (although not near as much as the History Channel would have it be, and they weren’t literally magicians).
