Was discussing the New Gods movie over the weekend with my partner. After explaining Darkseid, Highfather, Big Barda, Mister Miracle, etc, partner wondered why DC didn’t sub-genre the movie and turn it into a space/rock opera.

Same. Honestly, he is so far up his own ass now it is ridiculous. I used to only listen to Grantland podcasts if he was on them (before loving Grantland/The Ringer podcasts). Now, if I see he is on a podcast I have to do a real cost/benefit analysis that generally leads me to hard pass.

That’s a pretty good vibe going there. I find that to be a problem in movies with large casts, you don’t really seem to get that feeling of camaraderie unless you caught the cast interviews or read the comics or were exposed to other multimedia spin offs.
I don’t know. It’s a team sport. The hitter should have been more aware and slowed down. These guys are professionals and this is a pretty easy rule to follow. I view this more as just even the best of us can make mistakes sometimes. I don’t see why rules have to be changed.
