Interesting! It never occurred to me that Norman should be thought of as scary. Dangerous, disturbed, creepy… all that. But not really scary. I think that's a big difference between this series and the Hitchcock version … Hitch wanted to scare us. This show wanted to make us think. They certainly went out of

I know, right? What have we been DOING all our lives?

I know, right? What a whiny pants. I guess I'm blaming it on the fact that she knew him from before and was lapsing back into grumpy-receptionist mode.

I can't tell you how many times I've started to type "Romero" and got as far as the R and finished it "-ichard."

Glad you like it — I'm "choosing" it as well 'cause I really wanted Romero to succeed at something. LOL. (He got the line of the night, though. "Just start walking… I can't give you your phone but somebody will pick you up." "What if I get hypothermia?" "Walk fast.")

OMG. That is so funny. Awesome that they did that. And I had even totally forgotten about that character!

Have you seen that thing on YouTube (I assume it's on the DVD "extras") of the actors' "auditions"? At first I thought it was legit, but it's just a funny little thing they filmed.

In the same way that Snape is there with Sirius, Remus, James, and Lily. Just a liiiiiiittle bit of friction…

Katie looking like Norma was the only prediction I got right, I think. LOL

I agree. Very out-of-character for him. (One more false note, though… the lack of police surveillance on the Bates property was just absurd.)

She got away with the money. Used it to make some demo tapes and started a music career, I think.

"That shot of Dylan cradling Norman's dead body as the camera panned out to Norma's corpse was absolutely beautiful and tragic."

No, I agree. The sound wasn't ideal right there. I knew to expect it, though, so I heard it, but I agree that it wasn't perfectly done. A bit confusing as to "was that a gunshot or was that the knife hitting the door jamb?"

Amen to that.

Caleb's is the one that gets me. Talk about suspension of disbelief…. there's no way that "Viking funeral pyre" would've burned completely, and small chance that it would've gone without anyone noticing it out there on the lake.

In the post-show thing they did, they discussed how Highmore is apparently actually a genius. Mentioned Cambridge or something.

Hahahahaha!

Dr. Edwards = the four-toed statue from "Lost."

Hubby said the same thing. And he was a fireman.

You're the viewer / consumer. Watch it however it floats your boat, I say! :-)
