Which… that he loved her, or the honor among thieves?

Great post, Soylent. I needed the laugh after that ep.

Didn't it say three months had passed? She had time. Or she could've known it already.

He probably felt it was the least he could do, and it's so very easy for him. It's not like it's a big moral conundrum for him to wrangle over. Honor among thieves and all that.

Don't you think, though, that she was trying to kill Emmit, not the trooper? Emmit ducked. I mean, still not a smart move, and for a rural Minnesotan it should be Hunting 101, but I think she was just focused on "this is my last chance to get Emmit."

Not to mention that he's going to get caught because the trooper has his license and he also left his smashed phone in the road…

I didn't think he was moving… just getting jostled maybe. I did think it was odd that they wouldn't have body-bagged him, but I took it to be just letting us know that it was him. His injuries didn't appear to be all that bad, but they weren't actively working on him — no oxygen, not rushing, none of that. I think

S'all good, man.

I don't know about "again"… this is the first time I've been here I think, and I was just answering your post where you said Ray was older. And I don't think I said they were twins. I was unable to watch on original air dates and so am just now getting caught up on On Demand and was reading recaps here to get

*snort!* "For corn's sakes." She would so totally say that. :-D

That was my best guess also. That, or "other aliens" from the UFO ship.

Well, I slept through a lot of the early episodes so I probably missed the part that was made clear.

I thought that mention by Gloria was in reference to the real-life Russian who was poisoned… I've forgotten his name now. Was all in the news about polonium poisoning. I think it happened in the mid-2000's so it would pre-date the events in this show.

Also all the guys in the trench coats sitting in the hotel lobby… not necessarily goons, I guess.

I'm waiting for that clip from the ad to come into play — the one where the earbuds are sticking out of a snowplowed heap of snow with the music coming from way down deep inside the pile.

I loved how neat Linklater's office was. Even his extra thumbtacks were lined up in a nice straight line on the board. Quite the efficient accountant.

That did seem to hit him really hard.

Who is the "they" that Ray Wise referenced? He said something like "I told the others that he deserved another chance." What others? I got nothin'… any ideas?

I like that. Emmit is truly guilt ridden and probably feels he deserves it. He's not even made the slightest effort to correct the whole misunderstanding about the sex tape and that should be so easy to do. Maybe he feels it's best to remove his whole family from his orbit so they won't be in danger from Varga.

Which could still be twins, though. I thought for the longest time that it was just one more teensy way that Emmitt was "superior" to Ray — more successful, better looking… even a few minutes "older" and thus the oldest son.
