My grandmother gave me her 2000 Special Edition Miata NB when she retired and quit driving.  She wanted the 6 speed because the commute to her last job was all backcountry roads.

Her intent was to help others, so that they could see the car that she enjoyed for 25 years.  This has nothing to do with profit or money, THAT is what you’re not grasping.  She doesn’t give a rats ass about being paid for it.
