Oh wow, that was quick! Well, smart to you to have avoided those kinds of situations. Twice was enough for me - the internets can be mean :-)

My strategy as a teen was to be authentic with who I was as a person and how I really felt, and, turns out, not sure it’s an attractive quality in a teen - or in an adult either. And I never wore braces, btw, lol.

To be fair, the first 2 drinks were over a 4-hr period, and the next two in a 2-hr period. I’m working on building a tolerance.
