It sounds to me that Anna Farris, someone who works at acting, was trying to be funny and relating a story about how wearing braces affected her self-esteem and delayed having sex. This story can work for a guy too.

She probably has access to all those things, but the word is that J-Lo takes super great care of herself, ie. no carbs, no refined sugars, lots of greens, etc. Also, she’s a dancer and keeps up with dancing/workouts. And good genetics, of course.

Me too, I read Handmaid’s Tale as a teen in the late 80's. When I was finished, I thought to myself that it was one of the best novels I’d ever read, and I’d never read it again. Terrifying. I wish more of my peers had read it.

In the post you replied to, I wrote: why would you think this movie depicts actual acceptable / common practices? It’s inspired from at true crime story and that’s about it.
