It's actually true that another cat is easier. They keep each other company if you're gone all day. They're also better socialized. Get opposite sexes and if you can get an older, mellow cat with a kitten.

Better to be both and every woman on here knows that.
Just say no. Hand the knife to a man and say—"with all these men in the room I'm sure no one's comfortable with my holding this knife." then step away.
LOL talk to poor Joni Mitchell who Rolling Stone pilloried. Hahahaha. By exposing her trists which they NEVER do to man. HAHAHAHa. who thrashed poor Alanis Morrisette who told a reporter Joni inspired her. And now that she's old she "embraces feminism". LOL.
What a bunch of idiots.
another lyingwoman after fame, right guys?
Maybe these small towns could invest in pro sports teams instead.
I agree. Kids just get screwed. How does the UK do this?
that ought to be illegal.
Oh I guess I'm ultimately arguing for sports out of college, except for rec basis.
Totally agree they should have the choice and the option.
I guess we're arguing two different point—the moral reasons vs the practical (or physical) reasons). If you're gonna restrict it the best reason to do it are safety reasons, in my opinion. It's also why I support the age of drinking, draft, and even legal adulthood to 21. Or 25, like it is in India (with drinking,…
One offensive lineman I know—USC, NFL—can't write his name.
I can tell you from experience—my bro-in-law covers sports (has since college) and their brains are jelly, they often suffer financial, emotional, physical, and psychological problems. Many feel pretty worthless on a regular basis.
You're missing a couple of points here. The first is that the brain isn't done developing until age 25. You can see brain imaging from researchers at UC San Diego and they actually have studied this extensively. So you actually do more (and more severe and potentially permanent) damage to the brain if you injure it…
Students are covered while full time but lose that coverage if they stop playing or become ineligible, I believe. And I think once they graduate they are on their own (or covered through their parent's health insurance if not on scholarship, just like other college kids.)
That's what I mean. We need to stop mixing the two. Or put an age requirement on pro-teams, say 21. Which would be better for the brain, among other things (the brain doesn't finish developing and the frontal cortex doesn't even develop until age 25). That way kids wouldn't have much of a choice; go to college, play…
Athletes have their choice of schools, or the choice to not play for any school, increasingly. I mean, there's no WAY to make it even-steven... especially at the private schools—which aren't open to scrutiny due to federal and state monies (among other things). I mean if a kid is truly interested in getting an…
How about taking athletics out of academics altogether?
what if these athletes were promised full rides to graduation (or completion of credits thereof) at these universities REGARDLESS of their ability to play their particular sport, so long as they are enrolled? We could start with that, perhaps.
