Except for during the pandemic when they went all video toll, MD has mostly manned tollbooths, so as long as you have cash on you you could pay that way. And they have EZ-Pass.

Ram sold 148,837 pickups in the first quarter of 2021.  I wouldn’t consider that a pile of mashed potatoes, although I’m also not sure why a pile of mashed potatoes is an insult, because mashed potatoes are fucking delicious.

I usually go to Royal Farms because of their rewards. For every 100 gallons I buy I get a free order of potato wedges

Also, electronic logs are required by law nowadays. They keep track of when the truck is moving and when it’s not.   I’m sure there are still ways to cheat, but it’s a LOT harder to than in the days of paper logs where you could keep 2 logbooks.

I may have once logged into a work zoom call as MadAnthony, because it was the screen name I used previously to chat with some internet friends and then forgot to change it.

So I believe him.

1989 LaForza. The electrical system was made out of spaghetti and sadness. Dumped a bunch of money into it and sold it for 25% of what I bought it for

$50,000 will get him a G that’s at least 10 years old and has at least 100k miles.

This is an asshole move, but... it’s also a really dumb policy for the university to supply free parking and free charging for EV owners.   Free charging is a nice perk, but you should still need to have a permit to park there.

Handicapped spots are usually required by the state government and fines are set by law. EV spots are up to the policies of the college.

And if an EV owner can’t find a charging spot, they have to charge somewhere else. If an handicapped person can’t get a parking spot, they may not be able to go to class if they

The school I went to, located on the outskirts of a city, gave you a couple choices - park on campus and pay several hundred dollars, park in a satellite lot a mile away for free and take the bus, or park on the street, which required either getting in super early to get one of the few spots that was 24 hours, or

The Egyptian government was just as much of a jerk as the ship’s owner for not letting him leave the ship.

My first thought was “it’s like the Ford version of the old Jeep Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition”

Not quite as dramatic, but once in college coming back from Blockbuster, because I’m old, I pulled into the oncoming lane at an intersection that split into a median near the light. My passengers were horrified, and I was like “what?”. Luckily, nobody was coming the opposite direction.

I did the same thing by myself

It would be grail-er if it was 4wd and/or a cargo van.

(I don’t know if the former was ever an option with the manual, I’m assuming the latter was)

This. This doesn’t mean that EV’s are doomed or that they aren’t a great fit for some people. It does mean that there are issues that need to be resolved if you want them to be widely accepted. The same reasons that people gave up EV’s are the same reasons people aren’t buying them in the first place.

In my case, I

The funny thing is that Pep Boys seems to be going in the opposite direction. I’m seeing ads from them that they are clearancing out a couple stores in my area and converting them to exclusively service, no retail.

I bought a Ram largely because I could get it in cool colors. I ended up finding one in Hills Green

The flip side of this is buttons for features that aren’t actually on the vehicle.

I have a Ram C/V cargo van for my side hustle - it’s the cargo van version of the Dodge Grand Caravan, and unlike most cargo vans, it’s pretty clear the cargo version was an afterthought.

It has a button for the rear defroster.   It

I had blank gauges on my ‘87 Chrysler LeBaron for a while, but that’s just because the digital dashboard stopped working.

(the digital dash may also be part of the reason for the awkward arrangement of the Aries, because it had to be designed to accommodate both analog for the Aries and digital for the LeBaron)

I had a Nissan Pathfinder like that.  It had, AFAIK, every possible option, but there was still one blank switch the dash.  The only thing I could figure is that there was some option that was available in another country.
