Then Steam wanted me to log in again, which took several tries... once I got through that, I had to enter a new Steam Guard confirmation code... then I had to confirm my account details...…

Depends on whether “bought a 3-cent trading card” counts as making a purchase.  Since Steam accounts can’t sell trading cards without making some kind of purchase, there are probably a lot of bot accounts that have already cleared this hurdle.

Yeah, I don’t expect to see mod guides on Day One... but I’d bet that something is out there by Day Two.

There’s also a microSD slot available.  512GB cards run about $70.  Slower than NVMe, to be sure; but if the Switch uses the same format, it can’t be too bad.

I bought one of the Steam controllers when they sold through the last of their inventory.  It’s still in the box, waiting to sub in if one of my Logitech controllers goes down.
