If you used a small CFL bulb you could probably do without the fire retardant, as those bulbs are much cooler.

Add a GTD outliner to it and you have your office in any browser in the world.

3.5 b99 is awesome. Fast, and even with continuous use by several folks/day it only crashes once a week or so (computer stays on all the time). My 4 must have extensions all work too: Autopager, Firegestures, Greasemonkey, Adblock

@undefined: Just about any pen you can fit a Montblanc rollerball refill into.

I love cardboard! I also love coroplast, which is just like cardboard but made of polypropylene. I make kayaks out of it.

I read somewhere about a guy that made a hatch behind his fridge that could open to the outdoors in the winter. It hardly used any power at all for half the year.

@Quentin Hartman: Actually there are solar homes that use drums of water as thermal mass, so bottles would work too, but you would need a lot of them.

@Charles Brannon: When you open a freezer (unless it is a top loader) all the heavy dense cold air in the freezer falls out into the kitchen. When you close the freezer door the freezer has to cool the warm kitchen air that moved into the freezer when the cold air fell out. If the freezer is full there is less cold

It may not be obvious to everyone, but if you have a choice in the layout of your kitchen, do not put the stove/oven next to the fridge. Also, if you have a crappy looking fridge (like mine) you might consider adding some insulating/decorative panels to the top and sides. A sheet of 1-2" foam with a nice fabric

@saya: Is there %100 difference in appearance and functionality?

Another possibility is to take the difference in the two prices and invest it in something with a better payback, say CFL bulbs or weatherstripping or attic insulation.

@Jonsy3: You could probably hang it off a couple of window frames with some metal strapping without puncturing the building.

@gerrrg: I have a chain link fence that would be perfect for mounting these, and it would get sun from both sides (!Bonus!).

@Dangger: BBC tv is so much better than the US, it is worth the fee.

@YOUTALKINTOME: French wine, bread, cheese, and topless beaches prove you wrong.

It seems like it would also work going through the wall of the sunny side of a building. A line of them just below the roofline would be very bright, and there would be less risk of leakage.

Many many Trans-Ams died for this production.

@Saboth: You could add your own for about $200.

Any way to do this on a Mac?
