Watch Rick Mercer's Talking to Americans on youtube. And no one calls him on it ever.

What exactly about this is so pretentious?

The russian exchange part is genius!

... not all cops?

Saturn has 53 named moons, Jupiter has 63, Uranus has 27, Neptune has 14; this will take a while. But no, neither of those.

Too identifying :P

They do this all the time...do you remember the subway/yoga mats thing?

Woo!

Now does that apply for all place names? For instance, I'm named after a moon.

I think that's why people go to grad school, and then become academics.

It's 16 in Canada.

Or doing crack cocaine in a drunken stupor.

Once upon a time I had a pretentious grad school friend who refused to read fiction as it was "a waste of time". God he was dumb. Even thought Rob Ford was a standup guy. *Shudders*

Great book. Terrible thing. :(

Hey! Did you know you were on the BBC? Congrats!

The only thing I minded about your comment was saying "resorting to this". It's a medical procedure (and medical procedures are quite often unsettling), but people should be educated and I think youtube videos of common medical procedures are a great tool for that in our day and age (as weird as that seems to olds

Seriously, stop calling that person a cunt. You could use any other insult that you like that isn't insulting someone by saying they have female parts. Call them an idiot, an asshole, but come on!

Per the operating room footage, I could see how it could be soothing for someone contemplating the procedure to "see" the operation before going in.

np, it's actually a very common misconception.

The concept of gravity you are most familiar with would fall under classical physics and Newton's Law of Gravity, which is considered a law because it doesn't explain why gravity behaves the way it does. Are you perhaps thinking of Einstein's theory of general relativity?
