I don’t really get why they did that. The last Hasan piece they ran got a pretty average number of comments, almost evenly split between people preemptively defending socialists’ right to spend money on whatever they feel like, and people criticizing him for spending money on douchey shit. Nothing so egregiously toxic

It’s probably wise that you guys disabled comments in the Hasanabi story, but you guys should mention somewhere in the article that *almost* half a million dollars is a drop in the bucket and will do little to slow down a country who is authorized to break international law on days ending with “y”

I appreciate you!

I disagree with the bullshit part. If the game is clearly labeled as early access and consumers purchase the game knowing that they are, in fact, testing an unfinished game, I don’t see any issue with it. Players get to try the game early and provide both gameplay and functionality testing that leads to a better a

Yeah the entire point of MJ is she’s NOT a super hero, but a regular person doing their best to do their best

Seriously what is it with male gamers (TM) and their hate of MJ and red haired women in gaming in general? It seems they have something new to complain about every day.

While some fans are trouncing MJ’s vehicular oopsie as developer Insomniac Games “not [understanding] the assignment”

Pretty much this. Games don’t get pushed out prematurely because the developer/publisher is worried about gamer complaints. They get pushed out prematurely because:

I don’t think these problems go away as long as shareholders are involved. If you’re having to show continual and never ending growth each quarter/year/whatever, you will inevitably run into a situation like they did with Cyberpunk where you have to make compromises that you may not want to make.

Yes! People keep complaining about encumbrance, when the game gives you the option of just not picking up every single thing. People complain about vendors not having enough cash, but just playing the game normally and not exploiting time to reset vendor cash will still keep you flush with all the credits you will

Oh yeah something closer to Wolfenstein and the 2016 Doom where you still have time to breathe, explore, solve puzzles and do more than just do wave after wave of enemy would be better. Also, Hexen would work better with a more traditional storyline and narrative format like in Wolfenstein than what they did for Doom.

Not really. Starfield is an easy game, even on the highest difficulty. There’s no need to grind because there are tons of unique quests to do that give plenty of XP. I’ve invested exactly zero points into combat skills and I’m still able to one-shot most enemies with my explosive shotgun.

They have library quality problems? Aside from Redfall, MS’s first-party lineup has been pretty strong if you enjoy a variety of genres. If you’re only interested in cinematic, story-driven, third-person action/adventure games, then I guess I could see your point.

“Yeah, considering these consoles are typically sold at cost or at a loss? There’s only so much wiggle room on the pricing.”

Yes, you’re right, they do, yet Sony reported that each PS5 was making a profit over two years ago, soooooo...

Sony reported making a profit on each PS5 sold at least as of August 2021. Don’t just make up shit like Sony can’t reduce the price without losing money when you didn’t even know that much. Consoles are often sold at a loss when they’re released because they typically make their margin back in games and accessories

Not sure what argument you’d make. It’s a vertical merger that won’t give MS the dominant share of any of the relevant markets. That’s why regulators ultimately let it go through. The merger will increase MS’ market share but Nintendo and Sony have such a big lead that it won’t be enough to make any significant

I’m so sick of bullet based games, when see an article like that it’s just one more reason not to play a game.

Wish Sony would just buy the rights to Crash and Spyro.

I might be naive, but I believe that allowing workers easy access to unionize will result in better games.
