I believe the landing pad you can build at outposts has most parts, but not all. Closest I’ve found sans-modding.

Kotaku’s generally dour coverage of Game Pass makes me feel like I must be very disconnected from the gaming community. I’ve gotten so much out of it the last few years, mostly playing random little indie games and the occasional AAA game I missed when it was new.

As good as it is this years linep was,(hell even redfall looks to actually be a good game now, though not really anything people asked for.) I am SALIVATING for next year.
I was never going to play this since it’s not my type of game, but it always sucks to see games fail. I know there are fanboys on both sides that get all giggly when Microsoft or Sony misstep, but at the end of the day, a lot of regular game developers put a lot of effort into this, and it’s a shame everything was…
That’s what got me into their videos. I watch their react videos every Saturday because they’re entertaining and I learn so much about how that stuff is accomplished.
That video wound up pissing off professionals who felt it was effectively just plagiarism, the AI having been trained on the work of actual, human animators.
Most are bad but I think it’s a huge improvement in Starfield’s case. Maybe it’s because it’s a new game and I haven’t had it burned into my brain for years like the other games, but I prefer the algorithmic render.
They don’t have any AI tech. Half of it is literally open source stuff. They are just using other people’s tools.
I still like their “Reacts” videos when they have industry stunt performers, animators, and visual effects people who tell cool stories about their work and experiences. Outside of that everything else just seems like youtube quota filler.
Ok but ...why? There’s nothing there. It sounds like just a self imposed loading screen.
I could potentially see the argument that he can’t get money because it’s a modification to a different company’s software. But the implication that making mods is not a type of labor is Grade A “I have no idea what I am talking about” horseshit.
Modding has a long tradition of being free. Mainly because it’s typically derivative work that can be legally distributed only with the permission of the owners of the actual game. Because of this, modders who try to charge for their work tend to get huge blowback (and, in some cases get themselves a nice cease and…
While yes having a face similar or close to your actor make things easier it is not at all a necessity to get good facial animation.
It doesn’t matter to me. Peter Parker looks different in different movies and it doesn’t bother me. Same with Batman, and many other comic book characters. Even in the comics they look different depending on who’s drawing.
If it had been the 2nd face first and then the 1st face second people would have still complained crazy. There is no way to win except to not play the game. #winningbyamilesmorales
