Additionally Sega and Microsoft have had a close relationship for years. The Dreamcast was originally going to run Windows CE (and it did for several titles) and the shared DNA between Dreamcast and the OG Xbox is really obvious, a lot of the better exclusive titles were Sega games that likely had started development

And... ActiBlizz wouldn’t, somehow?

Honestly I think the vitriol and toxicity is pretty broad and not exclusive to one console.  We’re all gamers.  The console wars were pretty trash back in the late 80s and they’re pretty trash now.

Ironically, I have a feeling that if Sony was able to secure an exclusivity deal, even for just a year, Starfield would have been out by now. ZeniMax was all too comfortable with shipping games from BGS with bugs and rushed features. It probably wouldn’t have been as bad as Fallout 76, but it’s likely to have been as

That’s my stance on it. Sony has been pearl clutching about “stealing” games from gamers but that has been their bread and butter since the OG Play Station (remember angry FF fans raging that the series had jumped to Playstation from Nintendo for FFVII?) and all the evidence pulled through discovery shows Sony

while the hardware is nearly identical the software isn’t. Sony has had a bug up their butt about doing things in the dumbest way possible under the hood for decades. for instance mod support for Fallout 4 was kneecapped by Sony’s requirement of all audio on the console using their proprietary audio format. meaning

Except both Xbox and PC run off DirectX (probably 12, in this case). Targeting one low-level graphics framework instead of 2 is definitely a huge win in terms of development time.

You’re really misinterpreting what was said in the quotes. You’re conflating two separate points into one:

This just in: less work takes less time.

I felt the same way about GTA, Spiderman and FF for quite a while.......weird that it is only a thing now that it is happening to PlayStation?!?!

Thank you for writing that because I loved reading it. I’m like like level 70 something and have no idea what it means. but I loved reading it.

We all feel for the kid.

As if Amazon-owned Twitch is any better? Pokimane has already compromised her morals to make millions from that hellsite, so this is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.

It’s also because they all looked at the death trap designed by a rich idiot who refused to listen to safety concern and said “Shut up and take an amount of money that would make a huge difference in anyone’s lives but is pocket change to me”

Three of the passengers were billionaires, the others were millionaires, apart from the retired military guy who was a regular everyday dumbass.

Let’s not go into the rabbit hole of values because Amazon/Twitch don’t really have any and if you’re technically working for them then I question your values as well.

I get very tired of seeing rich people feuding with each other. It’s not news, it’s just assholes showing their assholes to other assholes. I don’t get any schadenfreude from seeing it, it just makes me think about how we won’t last another 100 years.

Sony? Full of shit? Why, that’s preposterous.

One can only hope. If I were on the bottom I probably would have strangled Stockton Rush to give me a little more time.

At least if the sub imploded they’d be killed so quickly they’d be dead before even their brains had time to register what was happening. They’d be instant chunky marinara sauce
