What an extraordinarily ignorant view on children and parenting. This may sound shocking, but tiny children often behave very differently from each other, regardless of the parenting method.

put them in cages and check them as freight.

Hard to blame them, little kids on planes....

This. I get that it must drive the company mad knowing that thousands of people are using it for free, but if their plan is to convert a lot of those to subscribers then I think they’ll be sorely mistaken.

2017, they said this:

I’m absolutely mystified by this lack. I’d be willing to pay a bit more so my mom (fixed income) and my brother (actual monk with a vow of poverty) can share my account. We benefit and Netflix benefits because that’s more money they otherwise would not get.

College students are gonna pirate sooooo much shit.

I don’t think Netflix will see a huge amount of lost paying customers but I suspect a lot of people who share passwords will not be signing up themselves.

I don’t set aside my weekends to binge watch whatever Netflix drops every week

I can’t buy a Tesla Model S from Ford and they are clearly competitors. every streaming service is fighting over content demographics and Netflix shares a lot of demographics with the other providers.

This is totally the part in a movie, where the rebel got the job done and higher ups don’t condone it...but recognize it was effective and a little badass.

The dumbest part of this is doing this “crackdown” and not also offering a multi-family option. When Spotify rolled out this option a couple years ago I happily plunked down more money to let my brother get Spotify (he’s on disability). I get wanting people to pay for the service, but like other people said here,

I’m paying for my son’s college tuition, room & board, car & car insurance and health insurance. Why should I need to pay for TWO accounts while he is away at college? He’s part of my family.

When every studio and publisher has created their own platform and we’re expected to buy a subscription to all of them? Yes.

Chastain explained that as a kid he had “played a lot of NASCAR 2005 on the GameCube”

I get ya, but at the end of the day, the guys a Youtuber. He makes youtube videos as a job, and that’s what he likes to do. We all work for money, and if someone can find a way to go to work doing something that they both enjoy, and that helps people, I cant fault it. My dad’s a joiner and somehow he’s managed to make

There is a growing sentiment that it is morally evil to allow one person to accumulate ridiculous amounts of wealth. This is driven by the youngest generations being economically worse off than their parents for the first time in at least a century.

Is there a name for the phenomenon when society takes someone who is very successful, and by all accounts an extremely down-to-earth and well-adjusted human being, and suddenly decides that they suck and don’t deserve their success?

which is somehow still better than every other streaming service. bleak

So you don’t have to watch the video, here are the 5 features mentioned:
