And Microsoft has a similar, “We just suck at our jobs and unless we buy Activision we can’t compete!” line.

I suppose the gamble is if a “household” can be six devices, so 5 extra above the account holder, what is the conversion rate on 5ish users per account? But then I also think, how many of the account holders will also downgrade?

I wonder if this can be got around by setting a hotspot on your phone as the “household”. Then you just make sure the tv has a quick log in whenever you visit.

Well the other method is for example: one person subs to Netflix, a friend subs to Disney, another to Prime. The three of them share access all around.

Here is a fair question for everyone here. Lets say a billionaire or company came to you tomorrow, they said to you pick your cause we will give you the finance to fundamentally change the lives of 1000 people in that cause. Robotic limbs for the handicap, sight for the blind, fixing deaf ears, housing 1000 people,

I’m not going to hunt down every reply you’ve made in every thread of this comment section. I’m replying to this one thread generated by your comment, this thread is also not live, so any replies made after I opened it just are not going to be available for me to see. You’ve been on kinja long enough to know its a

This is very true. Although I think people do themselves a disservice when they think they treat the symptoms like they are the cause. Mr Beast definitely deserves some criticism, but much of what I see isn’t really anything he can action. So much of the criticism becomes sort of silly. If you know what I mean.

but Jenifer Lawrence was alone in outright denying it, calling hers fake. It felt very non-genuine

You are oversimplifying a little, that said, I actually think this is an often overlooked part of the whole equation. For all we know Mr Beast would be a lousy lobbyist and hate every moment of every day spent doing it. But what we do know is that he is really good at making Youtube content, and he is using that thing

Part of the problem with your critique is that you might not be considering just how big the financial difference is between Mr Beast and proper lobbyists. If Mr Beast stopped making videos today and took only the millions he had on him now, no new videos or stunts to generate more, he would be a pauper at the

I agree with you, its kind of my point at the end there. There is definitely a target market that does exactly as you said, I would say its into the millions. But at the same time there is the giant Steam install base filled with millions of gamers who will never buy a Switch. I don’t think either market canabilises

I don’t know, getting NES/SNES emulators running is trivial these days. You can do it in browser even. For enthusiast-lite types the Series S is one of the best emulators out there and setting it up to play classics is really easy. But even then you can buy really reasonably priced handheld emulators.

Maybe you’re

The day Nintendo decide to release their own emulator to Steam for classic games which they could probably quite easily sell for $5-10 a pop is the day they make an absolute ton of cash. Until then I don’t know. It just seems like money being on the table. The genie is already out the bottle for NES and SNES for

I agree. But I think if they were porting enough of them, like if we were talking 200 games, that super robust library I think breaks a ceiling where people might double dip or they would evangelise to their friends more because they know the experiences.

The majority of these games are really old in the VR space. Depending on the user “not enough games” is either going to mean not enough new and interesting to entice me or not enough ported over from even PSVR1 or other platforms to make it a worthy purchase.

You really gonna pretend like Sea of Thieves isn’t a really successful game. Like I get maybe its not what you want from them but its still really good. That said Killer Instinct from 2013 is super under-rated.

I can’t believe that at all. If it was an open world I could maybe see that, but its not. On top of that it the world geometry is low, the character geometry is low, and the texture work is not complex. On top of that there are many modern effects that we attribute to slowing down games that are just not present here.

I think the cutscenes are running at 30 fps with the animations on 2s (so 15fps in a 30fps container), this is to match the fully animated moments. This is a design choice not a console limitation.

In my country you can walk into almost any retailer and get either whenever you want. But our economy is shot and they’re over charging for them, $745 for the PS5 or XSX.

I refuse to agree that training is required to exercise intelligent usage of a device, let alone your email. It doesn’t require training to ensure the email comes from a legitimate source,
