Still a pretty major distraction.

One win wasn't even enough, wasn't even enough, wasn't even enough to leave.

Oh, yeah, I know the history. He served a few at the end of the old season, and a few more at the beginning of the next, and that was his second offense. I think, though, that there is a more marked establishment of a pattern between offenses #2 and #3, and no one's going to believe "I'm a changed man" anymore.

If only there was a good man with an atrocious overbite around to stop him...

Other than that teams might be cool on him knowing he might get himself suspended for a year. He could have a nice bite taken out of his paycheck. Deliciously ironic!

They can ban him from the tournament for this, right?

Holy crap, I'm no Italian fan, but FIFA should ban Suarez for life.

It reflects the yellow portion of the color spectrum and absorbs the red and the blue. However, there are theories that each person interprets colors uniquely, and so what you see as red, for example, I might see as turquoise, or even orange. It doesn't really matter, because the physical properties of those

You get two yellows in group play, you spend the night in the box. You get one red, spend the night in the box. You get two yellows in the same game, you get one red, and you spend a night in the box.

Not yet, anyway.

Greg, you should show the dirty play Balotelli had about ten seconds before that, when he undercut that Uruguayan defender. He should have gotten a card for that. Glad the ref didn't let this one go.

Yeah, you're right. I wrote my other response before seeing your message, and I agree with everything you just said.

Well, I was really throwing it out there for someone else to tear it down. C. Ronaldo won with Manchester United, and then again with Real Madrid, but his impact is much less than that of, say, LeBron James. Not to mention that he's a ponce.

Cristiano Ronaldo.

I would prefer flan after a rattlesnake bite for some reason. But heck, if we're wandering desserts, maybe I could have some key lime pie, too!

Great piece as always, Greg. I would only take issue with your assessment of Iran's attempt at a draw as "cynical". With a draw, Iran would have had 2 points to Argentina's and Nigeria's 4, actually giving them an outside shot to win the group. Even with the loss, they can still advance with a win and a Nigeria loss.

Well, at least we get to see him play for FC Yankees. In 2015.

'taint right.

Beautiful.
