Kevin Bacon?

Timothy Dalton should have stopped while he was ahead... in Flash Gordon.

Pretty cool. HOWEVER: one of the greatest parts about the wanting to fly a Viper is taking off by turbo boost and embedding your eyeballs to the back of your head. Without that, it's just another spaceship. :/

This article only talks about media, but what about products? My experience is that product reviews are horrible. Here are some pet peeves of mine when it comes to reviews:

I don't care if they caught it today or a million years ago. 21 feet is me X 4 (27 feet would be X5). That's pretty spectacular to me!

Before I met my GF, I actually did quite a bit of online dating. Being the career-minded type that I am, I took the same approach to dating profiles as I do with writing up my resume: put your best foot forward, but don't bullshit people. A resume might get you the job, but if you can't live up to it, it will come

As a consumer who has not yet bought into the idea of a tablet, I love seeing that manufacturers are trying different things to get me to take the plunge. It reminds me of how car designers used to come up with all these crazy designs back when they were still trying to convince people to get one.

Oh, now come on. The Nexus One was a sales flop for only one reason: you could only buy them online. This meant that the only way anyone could actually try them out was to know someone who had taken the plunge and ordered one (which is how I was sold on buying one myself). How many non-techie people do you know who

"the man makes usually terrible movies"

I would think that the more attention given to any area of exploration is better for everybody involved. If James Cameron can come in and shine a light on deeps sea exploration, and the media gobbles it up, that gives this type of exploration more opportunities to fund further projects.
