I guess I missed the memo where it was established that spending money on a complete stranger couldn't also be genuine kindness. Why does money somehow lessen it?

So basically you're commenting about something you have no idea about in such a manner that presumes you do?

Have you SEEN motherfucking alexandrite?! Makes a person say, "Diamond who?"

What?! You mean your life isn't immediately over the moment you accept a shiny Sacajawea dollar for a quick dip in the ol' ham wallet?! You mean prostitutes are people — REAL LIFE PEOPLE who have the capacity to compete in OLYMPIC LEVEL ACTIVITIES (besides bedroom olympics obvy lolol)?????

I would have the serious discussion with him and ask him if he can live with the idea that you may never change your mind. Having kids is more important to some people than others, so he may be flexible, but I would flat-out ask him if any part of him wishes, wants, hopes, or thinks that you'll change your mind

That's exactly how I feel. People use hyperbole and exaggeration to express their emotions all the time. Pretending that mothers are perfect bastions of patience and love is bullshit. Sometimes your kids are just assholes - especially the one holding a knife.

Oh man, I hope so. If I have kids someday (planning on childless at the moment, but I'm not married to the idea), I imagine there are going to be days when I want to Spartan kick them down a deep well.

I'm all for criticizing her blog contents and the choices she's made - she's by no means a saint, but she's also not who Jez is making her out to be. Like I said to another commenter, there is plenty to critique her on without resorting to exaggeration.

It's really disappointing - I've gradually lost respect for Jez as a news source because of stuff like this. There are plenty of reasons to criticize this lady without resorting to making shit up or exaggerating it. :\

Are you really being fair to her? Not on the subject of calling herself Adam Lanza's mother or of the sloppy job remaining anonymous, but of talking about how she wants the state to take care of her kids or that she fantasizes about beating them.

Part of conducting a good, ethical interview is interviewing someone who is capable of understanding what they're consenting to, how their words could be taken by those listening, and can fully conceptualize the implications of the situation. These kids haven't had time to process it — they haven't had time to have

Hey, Jezebel - in case you missed the memo, YOU ARE PART OF THE MEDIA.

lol @ you

Please pay no mind to the snarky shitbirds responding to you - asking how you can be more helpful to a cause is a good thing to do, regardless of what they say.
