try to make all jungle creatures go vegan or some such f*ckery.

Then they’ll turn around and shame Naruto for wearing fur.

Sigh.

To rule “in favor of the macaque,” Schwarz asserts, “would be a progressive step forward similar to women’s emancipation, or the liberation of the slaves.”

Comparing a selfie taking monkey to slavery. Really, PETA?

PETA is more invested in being an attention getting fringe troll group than in any animal welfare issue.

PETA is the worst

Oh, Jesus christ. What the fuck.

If his campaign is dependent on young voters and new voters then his campaign is doomed. Minority votes went up in 2008, but the youth vote was mostly unchanged. Young people just don’t vote for some reason.

Imani Gandy, the Angry Black Lady, had a BIG rant, the other day on This Week in Blackness, where she basically said that these people are flat out making their candidate look bad, and then, on top of it, when it comes to light that Sanders/his campaign is AWARE of this, and very little is being said, that that makes

I’m more of a data person (maybe thanks to my useless poli sci degree), but it drives me nuts when people cite to those polls. I don’t mind people trying to convince me to vote one way or the other (I’m leaning Clinton, but can be convinced otherwise), but I just don’t like when Bernie supporters immediately attack

Exactly. I’m so tired of people pointing to general election matchups as if that is empirical evidence, and it’s usually (but not always) the Bernie supporters that point to those polls. Those polls mean absolutely nothing at this point.

Well, Silver is usually right and he’s not wrong about the notion that general election polls this far out are not an accurate metric of how someone will perform in the general election. I really don’t think that’s controversial.

My opinion is not necessarily that she’s more electable. My opinion that I’m tired of seeing people pointing to head-to-head matchups as if that is credible evidence. It isn’t. Read 538— they’ve written plenty of well-reasoned articles on this point and they happen to know a lot about polling on that site.

I may be in love with you. My biggest concern about Bernie as president is that we'd be looking at 8 more years of a do nothing congress. Obamacare TOTALLY capitulated to the insurance lobby and is STILL being ridiculously and futilely challenged. This dude is going to get those idiots to move to single payer? Yeah,

They remind me of libertarians. Those guys think they’re above everyone because they don’t “fall for the two party system” and they’re educated on the facts, when really, they are republicans, just super, far right republicans.

You're fortunate. I've encounter more of this type than not. Obviously it's an issue if Sanders is asking his supporters to be more respectful.

“it’s great to see the Sanders campaign step up and address this issue head on”

A single tweet and a post in a Reddit comment thread?

I had to school one of my friends on appropriate Facebook etiquette the other day, when he came back at one of my posts suggesting that I hadn’t “educated myself.” This is someone who is an actual friend, but still somehow thought that it was cool to tell me that I was ignorant of the facts and also my tone was

Just yesterday, my friend had to deactivate her FB because of harassment from Bernie supporters. Even this site gets its fair share of rabid Bernie supporters who actually turn you off from Sanders because they are so condescending.
