I’m convinced that most major corporations are just a house of cards — nothing more than accounting tricks to keep their heads barely above water while the executives enrich themselves. Tap one little card at the bottom and everything comes crashing down, except for executive salaries of course. Gotta take care of

I was thinking that myself. It is mad for a company like Hertz to have such enormous debts. It means they’ve no room to manoeuvre when everything goes wrong. Obviously the world now is in unprecedented times but I do hope that coming out the other end more companies aim to build for the long term rather than short

If they quit going to Starbucks and eating avocado toast every morning they would be just fine. They just need to get a 2nd or 3rd job and pull themselves up by their boot straps.

To me, it seems pretty fucked up that all of these large corporations run into difficulty so soon after a negative economic event(I claim rights to that term) that their existence becomes untenable.

Best practices guide for Harbor Freight stuff:

Used car prices fell 34.4 percent in April...

It has only been a couple of months and, I think, carmakers are clinging to an increasingly irrational hope that this whole thing might just blow over.  You’re going to see prices plummet.

Carlos Sainz, Jr. and Daniel Ricciardo

Maybe what Ricciardo saw in Renault was somewhere to go for two years.

I see what you did there.

Screw you haters. Vettel will end this season level on points with Hamilton.

It is limited to 174 in old money, but that is easily removed.

That energy has to go somewhere. Better to push the vehicle up and on the side than into the passenger compartment.

I loved proper jeeps growing up and always wanted one.

Effingunbelievable.

Round ‘em up, send ‘em out, and then sink the fuckers.

Top tip. Never cruise on a carnival owned line anyway.

I am definitely a proponent of an intelligent, well-thought plan to begin reopening the economy. Of course, with the government involved, that won’t happen. But going on a cruise is the stupidest idea I have ever heard of.

Who in their right mind is going to get on a cruise ship any time soon?

Neat.
