I see some vehicle turnarounds and some ruts where the soil was soft... does that qualify for pretentious outrage these days?

It won’t wash away. It’s a desert. There is very little rain ever. Marks like these will be around for decades.

Inconsiderate is one thing, but these assholes do it deliberately. It “triggers the libs” and that is their primary objective. These groups actively set out to find places to cause damage to cause outrage.

Desert sand formations tend to grow very slowly and in areas with very little rain like Death Valley, can be preserved intact for centuries or longer. Though not as spectacular as other natural formations they contain valuable information relevant to fields like geology and climatology because they function as time

Unfortunately, our species will never run out of assholes. Morons are still allowed to breed, ya know...

At 6'4" with bad knees, I will consider myself part of that 5%, but I try really hard not to call anyone nasty names just because they recline into my knees.

Yeah, no heroes here. That said, I am definitely in the no-recline camp. Yes, my right to recline is implicit by the presence of a reclining mechanism in my seat. But this is one case where being technically correct is the worst kind of correct. There is a flesh-and-blood human behind me whose experience becomes measur

People who recline are monsters. Full stop.

Everyone here is a jackass: the recliner, the reclinee, the flight attendant, and (most significantly) the airlines who treat their customers like cattle.

Anytime someone mentions buying an Audi on this site, someone else has to jump in with a comment about terrible maintenance. I bought a 2012 A5 in 2016 with about 34k miles. I’m up to 82k now, and the only thing outside of normal maintenance I’ve had to do was replace a wheel bearing. My uncle has had an A8, S6, and 3

but he’s comparing new vs. used, not low end vs high end sedans. if they bought a new a6, it would eventually be just as expensive to repair

Also see Trump.

This. I don’t care is Nissan is being petty at this point. Ghosn is a rich asshole who misappropriated more money than most of us would earn in 10 lifetimes, yet he’s living it up at home. Fuck him and fuck anyone standing up for him. He’s not your friend, he’s not vulnerable, and he’s certainly not innocent. You will

“For consumers, well, it’s always been smarter to buy used rather than new. It’s good to see more people accepting that.”

3rd Gear: The wife and I just added to the heat in the used car market. Picking up a 2017 Audi A6 3.0T Premium Plus S-line for less than 45% of sticker tonight. It only has 25k miles and 11 months left on the factory warranty. It’s crazy how much sedans, especially near premium and up, depreciate. And it’s crazy how

Well, 20 years ago, they made a product that was worth buying, 10 years ago, they started making horrible little Ghosn-mobiles with no passion. Today, they continue to make soul-less driving appliances that are barely worthy to be rental cars.

I’ll agree. The new livery isn’t terrible. It’s just incredibly mediocre and uninspired. It looks like an early 90s budget airline.

We have officially reached peak Too Fucking Massive™, that looks ridiculous.

“Tasteful” is a huge metal rectangle with big expanses of chrome plastic, interior and out? Or, instead, how about a huge matte black bro-dozer grill to nicely pair with your blue lives matter sticker before mowing down another pedestrian you never saw? Yikes. What a piece of shit.

First time I’ve ever seen someone describe an Escalade as “tasteful.”
