....and that’s why I’ve always loved track time; it’s that zen *in the moment* feeling of pure reaction.

I’m 44 and I’ve been driving since I was 16, have received 1-on-1 instruction from ranked SCCA drivers/instructors, have participated in several seasons of SCCA Pro Solo 2, and done numerous HPDE sessions around the southwest over the years. However, it’s just this past year that I was finally able to tell when my car

I did my first track event in a long time last summer. I have about ten years of road racing experience, though, so I’m not a newb. I just hadn’t pushed a car on the track in almost two decades because of money/parenting responsibilities. I found one thing that really helped as I got progressively quicker: Slowing

Oh, that’s to give you a challenge because you’re too fast.  You don’t find it fun and interactive to go from 16th to 1st in 2 laps, then not be able to shake the 2nd place car for the last 8 laps of the race?

Which doesn’t fully explain how the AI cars in Gran Turismo accelerate like bats out of hell while my identical car has a trunk full of lead.

My god, between the Juke and the Cube you really have to wonder what the designers - and anyone along the way who approved them - were smoking.

The financial side of the business appears to be the only part he was good at. He obviously isn’t an actual car guy.

“...create an SUV nobody wants...”

This reminds me of when Ferrari thought they could get away with naming the LaFerrari the F150.

The details are that they’re entitled assholes

Entitled asshole car company that makes cars for entitled assholes, acts like an entitled asshole. Details at 11

It’s not that complicated. Go back to the Sentra SE-R and make a Civic-R competitor without a bunch of crap all over it. There is pent up demand for a high performance not stupid looking car in the segment.

Put a good transmission in the Maxima and make it less ugly. The Maxima was the supreme fwd Japanese sporting

When you say “Ghosn’s departure”, which departure do you mean? He stepped down as Nissan CEO in April 2017 to become Chairman. Then, he was arrested in November/December 2018. Most recently, he fled house arrest in December 2019.

A winning lottery ticket. A new GT-R would make a nice daily driver for me. Other than that car, nothing in the current lineup is even remotely interesting. Boring sedans, crossovers, an ancient midsize pickup, and a full-size truck that is worse in every measurable way than its competitors. If the Xterra were still

I’d rather throw money away trying to save lives rather than take them.

This slow death is 100% self inflected. HD has done everything they could to make sure that they will not be saved

I, for one, am completely satisfied to witness the slow demise of one of my least favorite brands.

This seems like a silly thing to get so worked up over. Several F1 drivers wear fake luxury watch images on their fire suits and those aren’t even functional to tell time. Many Android smartwatch makers, including high end ones, offer an analog visual option.

A logical and reasonable justification to the question at hand....? Am I on the internet right now?
