Trouble is some pilots don’t fly safely. I’ve come into an airport with <1000 ft ceiling on IFR only to see a plane ready to take off in my direction. No radio, no ATC contact, no transponder and they’re figuring they’ll just sneak under the cloud layer. I wish every pilot would use a radio, especially near an

It’s much more difficult to see another aircraft than you think.  Try it sometime.  It’s tough even when ATC tells you where they are.

I wonder what kind of equipment was on those planes. I’m not sure about Alaska but most of the US has ADS-B which allows planes to see other traffic.

This is the best answer.  In addition to tax deferral, you can’t withdraw it easily unless you want to pay the penalty.  Long term savings are only as good as the will to not spend them.

When I had my airplane, there was a guy two hangars away that had 3 FD RX7s and several more old sports cars. They all fit. You have to find a small airport cause some don’t like that kind of use.  Rent was a couple hundred a month plus electricity.

Check out guitar365.com.  Carl is an awesome teacher and has hundreds of songs broken down.  There’s a ton of free stuff there.  I also like Sped Spedding, he’s good and funny.

At a bare minimum we need to revise or eliminate qualified immunity, bust police unions, and create a national database on police violence so cops who abuse their power can’t simply move from department to department. All of that would be a huge accomplishment, and none of that is defunding the police.

Perhaps eliminating guns and then the regular cops can carry non-lethal gear? Other countries have managed this.

Even if they’re free and online it still costs time and money to be at school. So yes, I agree. A much better solution would be to teach this stuff in elementary and high schools. This would address all the people who never go to college.

Most people I went to college with were severely constrained by the costs and time requirements of school. Adding another class unrelated to their major is unreasonable. Lots of my friends had already fulfilled their GE requirements at a CC. I think it’s a lame attempt at virtue signaling. There are better ways to

I would argue that the people vandalizing and causing physical destruction made things worse. It was the millions who took to the streets marching peacefully that got the politicians attention and confederate shit removed.

I disagree these are white norms. Maybe for 1950 but things have definitely changed since then. I disagree with the poster because it’s inaccurate, not because I’m offended.

True and I’ve seen stores where the mask wearing sign specifically states no respirator port masks.

You really need to inject the bleach to make the virus magically go away.

I lived in the area for a while. Ashville is like a progressive oasis in a desert of conservative backwoods. Unfortunately a lot of progressives have money and have driven prices upwards.  Drive an hour out of Ashville and it’s way cheaper.

Yes, this is the way to go. Judging from how NGOs have fared in third world countries it appears that making investments directly in the communities has a better and longer lasting effect. Just handing over cash creates dependencies and corruption.

People just need to think first and post second.  Are you reading this potus?

    Thank you for saying this.

Absolutely.  No one can erase history but we can erase the celebration of horrific historical figures.
