I left a negative review on yelp for a moving company that broke a bunch of stuff. 6 months later they called me and pleaded for me to take the review down.  Yelp does have an effect.  Use this power wisely.

We went to a restaurant for my birthday. It was a very nice place and the server was great. The food however was tasteless. When the server came by and asked, I politely said what I thought and added it wasn’t the server’s fault. My wife glared at me and was angry with me afterwards.

IDK, but if I was at a restaurant and watched other customers being seated later than me but served earlier than me, cold food and a messed up bill, I would tip accordingly. This is not good service and a good tip is for good service.

That’s not funny. Cancer has limited treatments (chemo, radiation) but an eating disorder is psychological and the physical issues can definitely be treated successfully. I’m not saying it’s easy but it can be managed.

The only “line items” on a restaurant bill should be the meal, the sales tax and the tip. Even then, I don’t see why they can’t just roll it all up into one number. Wouldn’t it be nice to order the $20 sushi plate and pay exactly $20?

True but I think the high real estate costs in those areas have far more to do with the extreme upscale demand of SF and NYC but with nowhere to expand to due to the geography. High real estate prices convert apartment buildings to condos.
