Why are people trying to recreate hamburgers and chicken nuggets instead of just selling carrots and broccoli?

Kind of like how the internet used to be free but now it has more ads than broadcast TV.

#10 is good, the rest are just happy shit to make things more complicated.

With my rooftop solar panels and Tesla in the garage, I’m really worried about high oil prices, lol.

Yes, unbridled fear sells incredibly well.

I can’t believe we’re considering the scientific “opinion” of a teenager.  I had lots of opinions at that age that I now realize were not terribly well thought out.

I just read she married her brother. Is that legal?

I understand the fascination with successful heists as has been protrayed in the movies but stealing $640k of stuff is not something the average teen does. These are criminals and should go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Agreed. This move to add fake noise to EVs seems totally counterproductive.

Counterpoint: if Tom Cruise started acting in Chinese films in a country predominantly filled with Chinese people would he not get asked how is it to be a white dude acting in China?

The victim “ALWAYS” has the option of doing nothing, going to the police, filing a civil suit, writing a book, going to therapy, etc. There is no single way that a victim of a crime like this “must” behave. The victim had no say in how they were raped, should they not have a say in how they react?

What about Washington, Jefferson and the other founding fathers who were slaveowners that beat their slaves?  When are those fucking monuments coming down?

I can’t believe anyone is surprised that people with a lot of money will use it to help their kids.  The fact that what they did was illegal only makes them stupid.

I like Bernie, he reminds me of my dad. I also think Bernie is way too old to be president.

Let the restaurant take care of their employees, it’s not your job. They’re already taking 20% more to do exactly that. I really wish tipping would go the European way.

What they could do is ban commercially produced cigarettes and only allow the component form (pipes, rolling papers and loose tobacco). Most smokers can’t be bothered with rolling their own.

The loss of the headphone jack was worrisome initially but it’s a superfluous and archaic interface. What I’d really like to see is for Bluetooth to work seemlessly and for the option to work with but not be overridden by a Bluetooth connection (cars are particularly egregious about this).

What about places like CreditKarma where they say checking your credit score won’t affect your...credit score?

This is not about protecting gig workers or a living wage but a means for California to extract more out of the ride share drivers paycheck in taxes. It always comes down to money or votes.

In other words, mega-corporations, no matter how woke, cool and filled with youthful energy are still played by the same rules.
