Exactly. Having had a couple of near misses due to another driver not following the rules, this whole thing really pissed me off.

ID badges? That’s so quaint.  This is 2019 after all.

As Bill Gates recently said, the best way of improving income inequality would be to increase the capital gains rate.  I agree with him.  Most people don’t have huge capital gains because 401k’s and IRAs are tax exempt until you retire.  People with a shitload of money have lots of capital gains.

Those cars tend to break apart when hit at the wrong angle. Aluminum and carbon fiber are really expensive to fix. I was stopped and he was going about 5 mph but there just wasn’t enough room...

Same here.  When my neighbor hit my Audi R8 it cost $35k to repair but I also got another $20k from his insurance for diminished value.  I wasn’t happy but I felt a little better.  I would definitely use one of those diminished value claim places that write you a report to submit to insurance.

Lol, the scooter idea isn’t a bad thing in theory it’s just that Bird, etc. are doing what Uber originally did. Use other people’s property to facilitate their business model under the guise of being a public benefit.  If they were non-profit, then fine but if I was a property owner and had these things dumped

One of the problems of increasing wages is that everything else increases too. If you’re at the minimum wage, you’re always going to be scraping by. The only way to avoid this is to make more money than other people which means figuring out how to become more valuable in the workplace.  If I was the CSA in the

You do know where this is going? At some point in the not too distant future you will be able to choose (for a nominal fee) a seat where the person in front cannot recline ($25) or can only recline 2 inches ($15).

Lol, Stalinism was evil because the people running it were evil. It always boils down to who’s in charge. China is a better example because they took a very top down, controlling system and have slowly been ‘capitalizing’ it. It’s what the people there want because we humans really like the idea of being able to

They obviously realized that what they were doing was illegal and stopped...wink, wink

I’ll tip 20% but mainly because I can easily afford it. Otherwise, it’s a way for certain businesses to make it look like they have very competitive prices but then the customer makes up the difference in tax and tip which are added. In a nutshell, it’s a scam perpetrated on the consumer by these businesses.

Absolutely. We have the same policy. School or a job or some meaningful way of showing that the future isn’t just living a cushy life with mom and dad.

That example is a bit different. As a US citizen, you have constitutional rights but entering another country is a permission granted by that country subject to their rules.

Perhaps because of the Real ID DHS policy which varies from state to state?

The anti-vaxxers want the freedom to not be forced to submit to a medical procedure. I personally would never avoid vaccination for the major disease groups (MMR, polio, etc.) but I also want to be able to choose to not get a flu shot so I sort of see their point.  Although not getting vaccinated for the big ones is

    Bingo, we have a winner!

That is one great reason tipping should be abolished in favor of a reasonable wage.

The same job title doesn’t necessarily take into account years with the company, experience, job performance and most importantly, will they quit if you don’t pay them enough.

I think it’s good that people are held accountable for their social media actions. How many times do we see posts of outrage that then are quietly deleted because they found out they’re completely wrong.

    You are cynically correct, sir!
