I’ll tip 20% but mainly because I can easily afford it. Otherwise, it’s a way for certain businesses to make it look like they have very competitive prices but then the customer makes up the difference in tax and tip which are added. In a nutshell, it’s a scam perpetrated on the consumer by these businesses.

Absolutely. We have the same policy. School or a job or some meaningful way of showing that the future isn’t just living a cushy life with mom and dad.

That example is a bit different. As a US citizen, you have constitutional rights but entering another country is a permission granted by that country subject to their rules.

Perhaps because of the Real ID DHS policy which varies from state to state?

The anti-vaxxers want the freedom to not be forced to submit to a medical procedure. I personally would never avoid vaccination for the major disease groups (MMR, polio, etc.) but I also want to be able to choose to not get a flu shot so I sort of see their point.  Although not getting vaccinated for the big ones is

    Bingo, we have a winner!

That is one great reason tipping should be abolished in favor of a reasonable wage.

The same job title doesn’t necessarily take into account years with the company, experience, job performance and most importantly, will they quit if you don’t pay them enough.

I think it’s good that people are held accountable for their social media actions. How many times do we see posts of outrage that then are quietly deleted because they found out they’re completely wrong.

True. I sold a nice sports car on Ebay. It was a nearly perfect transaction. Shipped across the country and got paid via escrow. Make sure the buyer pays for shipping AND return shipping if they change their mind.  Be prepared to have lots of pictures and answer lots of questions.

I like that she’s calling attention to climate issues and healthcare but I have a problem with her creating this gigantic green new deal that involves way too many things. Obamacare passed only because it was a step towards universal healthcare. Had it been full on healthcare for everyone and fuck the insurance

This doesn’t make sense. Insurance companies use actuarial tables to try to normalize the risk vs premium. After all they’re competing against other insurance companies doing the same thing. The difference could be the agents who will take advantage of whatever the consumer is willing to pay. I’ve had to take my agent

Why not just have a keyless fob AND be able to use your phone too?  Redundancy, man, that’s where it’s at!

You don’t get it. The first thing my son does when he gets in his WRX is turn off the traction control.  He somehow thinks that makes him faster/cooler/better.  Fortunately he’s a bit conservative in his driving and knows he will lose the car if he fucks it up.

Yep, kids are masters of manipulation especially if the parents let them do it. The trick is to outsmart them which isn’t always that easy since they usually have plenty of free time and energy while parents have shit to do.

OK, I get it. I was tongue-in-cheeking it.  Cheers.

Yes, it’s a cliche but “Doing something over and over and expecting a different result” is the colloquial version.  Sorry to have confused you.

I agree that businesses really do need to know if there’s a problem and at the time it happens if possible.  Perhaps the poster could ask the owner to prepare them a meal and if it sucks, the review stays as is.

You’ve had issues 6 out of 10 times there and you continue to go back?

Dems would do better to focus on House driven legislation and finding a really great candidate for 2020 than pinning hopes on a smoking gun that sure to sink Trump. It’s less than 2 years away.
