I agree. If you totally hate your job, you should be actively looking elsewhere. Just keep looking and something will pop up. If you more or less like your job and the company is solid, then stay.

It’s a symptom of youth. At 20, we’re all going to live forever and things will just work out. It’s only when you get older that the reality hits you. Personal finance would be a great mandatory class (not just economics).

This! If people would just look at how much actual tax they paid, they would know. Most people DID get a tax cut for 2018, especially if you have dependents. If you didn’t get a refund, you got more in your paycheck. Looking at one number, like the refund amount is meaningless.
