The problem is that companies who get hacked, which is obviously their fault, don’t get punished enough. Then they implement things like two factor authentication, require increasingly complex passwords and make you change them every six months. Basically they put the onus on the user instead of maintaining adequate

If Gawker was a paper mag, it would sit between the Enquirer and the Star in the checkout lane.

The truth is Repubs tend to fall in line with the party realizing that winning is more important even if it means compromising somewhat on principles. If the Dems did this, we’d never have Trump in the WH.

    Awesome!  Just like the song.

I’m pretty sure jez counts as social media. ;)

Lol, forget about looks, I’d just like to physically feel like I did in my early 20s.

Well yeah, and don’t they have security camera records (should be mandatory at any health care facility). I would think any male employee who had access to her would be a suspect.  Chances are...

What I never like is the way each party loads up their legislation will all sorts of other issues. Why not simply introduce single item legislation like “convicted felons who served their time should be allowed to vote”. This way you don’t give legislators the ability to say they “would” have voted for the bill but

You might want to start with the 10,000+ drivers who kill people each year while drunk.

I agree. Businesses have learned that keeping piles of cash is unproductive and using lines of credit to manage cash flow is useful. Also, acquiring debt to invest in infrastructure is better than waiting until the cash is available.

Yes, and my wife would totally agree with you!

I can’t stand Trump but an endless investigation that will go nowhere isn’t what the country needs.  Instead of attacking each other like children, perhaps our elected officials could, you know, work on running the country?  The whole thing is really disappointing.

An extramarital affair is hardly cause for concern unless there’s a legal issue buried in there but sexual harassment is very much a concern for everyone.

Talk show hosts should be able to say anything they want (within the law of course) and the public is just as free to turn them off.  Eventually it sinks in that being an asshole isn’t profitable.

So, I’m wondering what happens if the embryos ever get to become people. Who is legally responsible?

So what happens when there’s a court ordered request for someone’s texts?

I always tip at least 20% unless the service is notably shitty, then they get something less, maybe zero if it’s really bad. That’s how the system works.

Your “rule” sucks. Tipping is supposed to be compensation for good service not a means of extorting Scrooge from his precious pennies. Try to think about who you’re stiffing and how would you feel if the server was your mother, sister, son, etc.

You’d be surprised. I have a whole side of the family that voted for Trump and yes, they are very Mexican.

And in Judaism, being a Jew passes through the mother, go figure.
