Check out Lonnie David Franklin Jr. Another one who preyed upon low risk victims. Hell, the LAPD referred to the crimes as “NHI” (no humans involved) because the victims were drug users and/or prostitutes.
it reminds me of the Grim Sleeper, Lonnie Franklin. he was captured in Compton not too long ago but most of his victims were black women and, again, he was not caught for decades. and they’re not even sure they found all his victims. like Annie said, the police help keep the victims invisible with their non-actions.
Here, in Cleveland, Anthony Sowell stalked and killed black women, got away with the deeds for decades. He got away with the racial loophole that nobody would give a damn about a troubled black woman, outside of her immediate family, if she went missing.
About 15 years ago, I wrote a treatment about a black serial killer who mostly targeted black women and was told that it was unrealistic because “black men aren’t serial killers” My response was “at the end of the day, black men are men and a whole lot of men are capable of being evil”.
