Every interview I saw (The Breakfast Club and elsewhere) was her staunchly doubling down, seeing herself as more relevant and capable of creating the same “bridge” you referenced above.

Even if one chooses to forgive her the fact is you can’t unring that bell. People who ally themselves with Trump in any way are going to get cancelled and personally I think that’s how it should be. She’s never going to get back what she lost because #ETTD

She even managed to somehow blame the Democrats for the fact that Trump employed undocumented immigrants at some of his properties. She claimed that the president himself had identified a serious problem that the Democrats need to help fix by strengthening our immigration policies.

Yup. Her husband/manager actively told her not to do this. She did it, then dexified it on social media and poured gasoline on the fire. If she learned from it and like Dave Chappelle says “I fucked up on that one” that would be nice.  But that doesn’t guarantee that folks will let it go.

I can forgive her where it matters but my money stays where it is.

It depends on a person’s POV. For me, any remote allegiance to Dump, or so-called “let’s give him a chance” or “let me perform for him”, is unforgivable. Period. But I come at that decision both personally and professionally, as I see first hand the damage being done by Dump and his DOJ, HUD, HHS and other cabinet…

Oh, and then there’s her concerts which, on a good night, now fill barely half of the theaters she used to sell out.
