Can’t find the source, but will paraphrase:

Yeah, in all other ways Republicans want the U.S. to go back to the 1950's, but as soon as you remind them of the 90% taxes on the wealthiest Americans, and that a full 25% of the workforce was a part of a union, they shut up a bit.

I’ve read and re-read this article, and I simply do not understand how, knowing what we know about the Catholic Church then and now, this disgusting, horrific institution has any right or authority to raise concerns over the welfare of children.

Between this nonsense and the lefty bros calling her “too conservative” as California AG, I can tell this primary season is going to be a shitshow.

I love (read: hate vehemently) the way Fox News and Rush Limbaugh keep trying to point out that a couple of BLACK protestors were yelling things at the “children”... and how the children were only retaliating for being called faggots. As a card carrying fag, I have to point out to them that they’re therefor saying

“Justin Fairfax, a man who literally took his oath of office with his three-greats-ago grandfather’s Freedom papers in his pocket, knows history and knows power.”

Mitch McConnell, who derisively said he wouldn’t hold any show votes for bills he knows the president won’t sign, is prepared to cynically hold a show vote he knows the House won’t sign.

...it’s because President Trump doesn’t like the way that she’s treated having dissemination of his disinformation challenged in any way.

Our bitch-ass access media had a chance to save their credibility by standing up for the First Amendment and boycotting these shitty agitprops plays, instead, they’ll beg and moan for more tickets.  They have no leverage.

Every time I see a picture of Suckabee, the shapeshifting reptile conspiracy theories seem a bit more plausible.

Wow, that’s some psychedelic enhanced kool-aid for ya. In my limited experience with folks from Texas, I think maybe someone’s spiked an entire aquifer with LSD. My dad was sitting in the Social Security office the other day, and there was a guy from Texas, talking about the border wall, and Trump, and the Texas

If it wasn’t a rebellion, why was there (a) a war, and (b) a secession?

As a fellow Virginian, thank you. Just because we’ve made some progress doesn’t mean our state doesn’t still try to compete with North Carolina to see which one can be more racist.

As a resident of NOT a NOVA part of VA, thanks for this. Seconded. I helped turn my neighboring district this past election and it took A LOT of work and time and abuse. However, I would also like to shout out Justin Fairfax because he is WONDERFUL and strong and I appreciate the hell out of him.

Wow. I guess the saying that the winners re-write history is incorrect. Sore losers also try to save face.

Quibble: Virginia is quite purple. Any attempt to call it a blue state could lead to complacency and frankly the state can’t handle that shit. Also I thought MLK was 15 Jan and we only celebrate MLK Day on the third Monday of the month.

I’m surprised I didn’t see yall write anything about this, but since it’s related. It’s been in the news here for the last couple of weeks:

This prosecution is the Trump-Sessions DOJ testing the cruelest most inhumane tactics, in the name of immigration control and border security, to test the American stomach for it before extending it to all other minorities. And so far, Americans seem to have only the mildest of tummy upset.

It’s part of trump’s plan for the environment. Human remains decompose but plastic bottles last forever.

He’s so concerned about litter but apparently human carcasses are just fine by him.
