Thought about it since I have 5 old cars. In the past 29 years I would have spent $2900 on CAA. What I actually spent was <$500. I decided against.
Breakdowns are not fun. Sure a free tow takes the sting out of it but you know what’s always better than a free tow...? taking care of your car and not breaking down.

I saw some tractor pull where a mostly stock older diesel got about 10 ft *really* struggling to move forward, then whammo...it went into a runaway condition and finished the pull easily with all that extra power!
