Coupe = Chevy
Coupe = Chevy
I bought a 1999 4Runner in August with 277k miles on the odo. No service records, zip zada, nothing. But i liked the color. I don’t have the balls to look up its Carfax because sometimes its better to not know some things. I don’t want to end up in your shoes.
I could have a counter with my anecdotal experience, but that won’t get anywhere. Fact is Toyota takes the cake here and as anyone who has shopped for a Toyota truck will tell you, they demand a premium price. You can draw you’re own conclusion for why that is.
Your comparison of the life of a truck can be harder than a car. No question there. But saying that it should sway more towards Chevy or Ford, how do you explain that BOTH trucks Toyota produces for North America are #5 & #7 on the list?
The fact the Tesla is on dry pavement and the truck is on snow/ice/water was a cute touch, I’ll admit.
Hell ya! I can’t wait to see one of these in person!
You won’t bend it on the trail. Put the spare on. Get home and replace regardless of it being steel or alloy. This is a very remote failure mode.
I have run thousands and thousands of dirt miles from mild to pretty wild on alloys. I had always heard this “ fact” but have yet to ever encounter anyone i know to have experience this failure on an alloy. The failure rate is so low it is not something that i consider when purchasing wheels for my trucks.
No.
What about the LED light upgrades that are DOT approved as many are claiming?
Everything else feels fast if you have a BRZ.
The new ones are incredibly comfortable and eat bumps in the road amazingly well. But ill give you the fuel is not inspiring. I get 22-23 on mine but that’s not bumper to bumper traffic.
Get a used Tacoma. Comfortable, reliable, can haul all the gear and can be ok on gas. And did i mention reliable?
Marathon had profits of $737 million in the third quarter of this year alone.
The OME served me well on the old Tacoma, better than bilsteins.
The temptation is so strong. I scored some TRD pro wheels/tires to hold me over longer but i know, a spacer/block lift and some 265/75/16 Ko2's would make it look the part.
I don’t think you’re familiar with the Tacoma’s 3.5l v6. It uses Toyota’s D4-S, Port & Direct injection fuel system and utilizes the Atkinson cycle when it can to squeeze out some more fuel economy. Is it ground breaking technology? No. But they are actively moving that technology into their drive-trains. Im just glad…
I have the same truck with the 6spd. I get 22mpg commuting to work in town, but i get about 16-17 @ 80mph. It has to work a little harder than a big v8 to punch through the air.
Bought a 4runner with this feature. One of the best and surprisingly not that common.
That only works on women though...
