Toyota stopped offering that switch on the 16-present models, but have better programmed sensors that it doesnt seem to be an issue on the newer trucks. 

The badge helps justify the price, and will all the shifts happening over at Cadillac, this could be a big push to change their image. Same thing Toyota did with the LFA in the not so distant past.

Quibble on your last statement, the article seems to indicate that there is already an existing procedure for it, although ill side with you and that procedure might not have had the wording for this specific situation associated with it.
