Cool, more sensors for me! I drive a 99 and 01, i put my wife in a 17 with all the sensors i could get. Im not ignorant of how much more safe newer cars are. You sir, are.

Parking sensors, like parking sensors and cameras can help prevent backing over a small child who walks behind your truck in a parkinglot. Cannot see from the mirrors, the rear window, and yet you can with this safety tech. I am 100% on board with that.

Grew up 30 miles east. Always had a biased I suppose.

What is the cost of this “Proper Driver Training”? I haven’t got the numbers in front of me to compare.

What a small price to pay to have my family in a modern safe vehicle.

My condolences for having to live in Spokane.

Don’t have to worry about rust recalls when your parts cant rust!

The trick is to have your other vehicles be slower than the Third Gen Tacoma! My wifes ‘17 feels like a rocket compared to my “overland” 01 Tacoma and slushbox 4runner. Perspective.

They have innovated...haven’t you seen the SNORKEL!?

The Tacoma also has the advantage of a well established aftermarket for it whereas the Ranger would take a few years to get going I bet. Competition like this is good and healthy for the market. The problem is the Toyota is still a safe buy for the third owner. I would not want to be the third owner of a Ford or Chevy.

Going from a stop is entirely different than lugging the engine along at 20mph though.

Then I really don’t understand your previous comment.

Am i wrong in my assumption you never drive in snow?

From what i recall from my BRZ, there is no real world situation that you would be in 4th gear at 20mph.

Buy all 350 2019 Ford GTs and then drive a new one every day for a year, leaving the signed title and keys in it at car events and such. First come, first served. Then id buy a bunch of cheap Toyotas.

Duncan Hamilton is an example. Guys got drunk, won the event.

That’s a better way of wording it and makes more sense for the argument.

Are they saying a 6% rise is expected. Maybe i missed it in the article but they didnt address what the differences were in those individual states when it was legalized, they are comparing it to other states whose may have already had lower accident rates. I mean, have you seen how Apple Maggots drive? Scary place.

Shouldnt they be comparing the data within those respective states prior to the legalization and now? I mean, they say the difference is 6% but what we don’t know is, was it the same before the legalization? was it worse? Was it better? The article is written to make you assume that it is the same but they dont

Trucks probably insured. Probably would help lead to the rise in premiums for us all. So in the end you lose. Better to drink the cocktail and sob in the corner my friend.
