Just bought a 4runner with 278k this summer. Runs like a top even though i found all the original belts and waterpump in it when i went through to service it... That kind of mileage seem incredible to most. For Toyota guys, its standard. Good looking rig BTW!

And you don’t unravel when that happens? God forbid you walk across the freshly mopped floor but they make a mess in the car you just cleaned??

It’s just money anyways. No one has happy memories about how much money they saved. 

You aren’t alone my friend. Just gotta keep grinding. Maybe eventually we will get our head above water ;)

My wife loves the car, but damn if it wasn’t the best financial decision.

I would imagine you would have the same findings in densely populated US cities. I don’t think it is unique to Beijing, it is unique to overpopulated metro areas with public transportation.

Late 90's and early 2000's Toyotas are indestructible. Don’t shy away from high mileage examples (as long as they have been taken care of) as these things are built to go forever. I took a leap of faith on a 4Runner with 277k miles this summer. And it is unquestionably a great rig.

Toyota 4x4's. Two Tacomas and 4Runner. Referring to the Toyota cult as being a crazy bunch.

The first generation of the tacoma is quite a bit smaller than the 2nd and third gen tacomas, whose dimensions are on par with the first gen tundra.

Absolutely about comfort! I go sans seatbelt when driving back dirt roads below 25mph. All else, clicked in. Have you ever had a chafed nipple? It sucks.

Wow that’s a good lookin’ rig! Looks to be well set up for the dirt! Also looks to be a bit newer as well than mine. Admittedly my runner doesn’t see dirt. Its a pavement princess. Don’t need two dirt rigs ;)

That has the ugly nose on it though. The 01-04 have a much better and more modern look with the new hood shape. (I have one so i am biased). I will also suggest that the 3rd gen 4Runners are still handsome. ( i also have one so biased. see below)

What do the wheels have to do with it? It be the TIRE size that impacts it. If you have a 32" tall tire it won’t make a lick of difference if you are using a 15" wheel or a 20" wheel. Only the 32" tire will effect things like speedometer. I feel like the amount of people arguing that wheel size matters makes me…
