A bit of a stretch there mate.

The gov’t decided that since they cant keep their legs closed that they don’t need to pay as much in taxes each year.

The solution to 99.999999% of our worlds problems

You got me there. I like arguing when people call the tires, wheels because, you know, they aren’t the same thing.

I’m not familiar with the year 2006 but i am familiar with physics and can tell you that you calibrated off your tire size, not the wheel size. Where in that do you think I am mistaken?

*sigh* That one was a stretch I suppose. We were talking misnomers and all...

Touche. On an unrelated note, how tall is a 285 compared to a 265 tire?

Your wheel size has no effect on your speedometer.

Used Trackhawk.

You’re missing the bigger one. American cars would need to be completely revamped just to be made right hand drive. The Wrangler is sold there already but Jeep made them to be RHD for various reasons from the start.

People fail to put their money where their mouth is more often than not.

Once the program was successfully uploaded, ... could alter the vehicle’s RPM shift points, gear ratios, wheel size...

I could listen to that noise all day.

He used to pop into a small private FB group and drop knowledge bombs. It amazed me he would take the time to talk to a couple dozen dudes who he has never met. He seems like a real genuine guy.

Great observations. Sounds like what your describing is that due to the fact that the oil filters leak due to poor design, and that the oil drips down into the area of a hot catalytic converter, that grass can accumulate around, that is a fire hazard. That could explain what happened here.

I buy new in an effort to save the manuals. Mock people for buying new then complain about our CUV+CVT future. You are part of the problem.

While dry grass seems likely i do think there is something else at play. Why is it that images of Jeep Wranglers going up in smoke is so much more common than say, Toyota 4x4's? With how many clueless “Overlanders” are out in the hills stopping on dry grass in their trucks, among other fumbduckery, why is it more

Too bad it sounds like a weed-eater farting through a cone. The ‘old’ GT has way more presence when the two are together in the same space.

Having driven that stretch between Bend and Boise many times, i can assure you that even from pavement it can be hard to get cell service. He was plenty off the beaten path. Even if he had, they wouldn’t have gotten there until it was smoldering. What you bring up though is how he managed to signal his friend via GPS.
