You and I know that but most people only associated Toyota’s sports cars with the Supra due to the F&F movies. The Subaru people like also expected it to be STi levels of power too. It just has always appeared that the expectations people had is really the biggest issue.

The expectations of the Miata are set in stone. The 86 was not the Supra reincarnation they expected. The car world set some weird expectation for it, that it clearly was never meant to achieve

I look at it in a couple ways. Some people, including myself, have great fun with it at 200hp. Enough to dart through traffic, enough to light up the rears and it is very forgiving. Making these 300hp would make them the new mustang at car meets.

I think i played with all those the first night i had it! Eventually changed the boot screen to one of my photos of the car itself. Great stuff.

As long as those options aren’t the Tahoe, Silverado, F150, Taurus, Explorer, Chevy SS, Charger, Durango, Ram, or any motorcycle right?

Look at the pictures are look at the site-lines of the trucker. That car really was invisible from the cab besides the smoke. And since the relative speed of their impact and the trucks superior mass, it probably felt as much as a separation joint on an overpass.

Shouldnt doesn’t mean that it is illegal. Failure to yield is illegal though.

Its been done many many times at this point. I would not worry about it. Be worth that minor risk to have a new frame.

I most certainly do not search the VIN periodically to see if it has been listed again. That would be ludicrous

2015 BRZ Dreamed of it through college, one thing that kept me pushing on. Graduated, bought it and was in LOVE. Then life forced me to sell it. Its been 407 days and i hope she is ok wherever she ended up :(

Bigger tires and lifted dont help. It is the 3.4l v6 like the older tacoma. Honestly most of the driving of the T4R is around town so i shouldn have included it in with the highway example. It gets the 15-16 around town. Our interstates are 80mph speed limits too that REALLY hurt fuel economy. Jealous of the V8!

If you are a boomer, arent you vacationing in an RV with a jeep in tow with “Life is good” tire cover?

EV’s only make sense as a 2nd or third vehicle. I want to commute in an electric car and 50 mile range is plenty, especially if it could have the ability to charge via solar as my car is parked outside for 9 hours a day before going home. That is EXTREMELY appealing, but beyond that, i would rather use a reliable

Maybe down hill at 55mph. Our ‘17 manages a mere 18mpg on the interstate with the 6spd manual. Granted that does better than the 15-16 our 4runner and older Tacoma get.

Yeah but you can hit 9/10s every time you hit an on-ramp, or a clover leaf, or an empty round about etc. The bar is low with that car so you can push it without breaking the speed limit or being reckless. For an rookie driver like me, the fact it doesnt make a lot of power is also great in that it is forgiving if you

Look, its just the way it is with the BRZ and no amount of logic changes that. Mustangs crash into everything, BRZs are slow and Toyotas are boring. Unless you’ve lived with a BRZ and properly ran it at 9/10 you cannot reasonably expect the plebes to understand. One day ill get another one....

No shit! That last sentence left me hanging. Hell, that’s a lightly used Raptor money! Insane price but hey, people gonna pay it. Gotta look good in the drop-off lane. Even on a 96mo loan (we are talking FCA buyers) that’s $600+ a month.

I can’t stop laughing at Elon Musk being the shortened version of Elongated Muskrat and he is a douche canoe.

Several of us feel that way. But then i remembered my new truck has Goodyears on it :( with only putting 9k miles on it a year I’m a few years away from breaking free from them entirely.

The factory trifold on our rig works great and with the tailgate locked, makes a secure place to store things out of site.
