The action set pieces and fight scenes look absolutely amazing. More fluid and epic than anything yet seen in a Batman movie. Yay for a Batman that can move! And the relationship between Selina & Batman looks fun. But I simply do not care for this angsty, dark “my childhood is a lie” / “Thomas Wayne was an illuminati”

I’d like to see Peter Jackson get involved. Blue Beatle, get it?

Exactly, a handful of great performances (Dexter, Deb, Trinity, Doakes, Lumen, Dr. Vogel) in dire need of a much better show. Everyone else (Rita, Batista, LaGuerta, Matsuka, Hannah, Jamie, Quinn, whoever Jimmy Smits was playing, the “pardon my tits” lady) knew they were only in a semi-decent show and only acted to

But why did George Harrison do a cover of a Dylan song for the soundtrack? That’s what I wanna know...

Yeah by the time of the White Album they would do a basic backing track as a full band (though often John would be absent if it wasn’t his song) and then the writer of the song would work away at it, adding layers of instruments.

Except, they all got together in a little cubby hole to record John’s “Yer Blues” and

Hulu has a pretty good roster of old sitcoms. We comfort watched all 11 seasons of Cheers, two eps a night, during the first phase of Covid of last year. This year we’ve just about finished Frasier. No idea what’s next. NewsRadio perhaps?

Of the 213 officially originally released Beatles songs, John wrote 92, while Paul wrote 72. Now some of those, particularly the 45 original songs released on albums and singles between 1963 and 1964, were co-written, but I’m going basically by who sings lead. There are well known stories about John helping Paul

Only finished part one so far but in particular the exchange / fight with George about the guitar and vocals for the bridge in Don’t Let Me Down shows that Paul had a very, very clear picture of how he wanted it to sound, he just had no ability to communicate it to the others (George in particular) without it sounding

Yeah usually there’s at least one contestant that bugs me right off, and I can’t wait for them to go. This time I knew some of them were obviously more talented than others, but they all had such pleasant personalities it was a shame every time one was eliminated. A bit annoyed that George stuck around one extra week

And with Only Murders In The Building, he gets to play witty wordplay, stupid pratfalls, and character work, in addition to giving Martin Short one of the best showcases for his talents. Definitely one of the most successful at straddling the lines.

Patch Adams is a terrible movie, but you can’t say that Robin Williams wasn’t giving it his all. You never got a sense that he was sleepwalking through a role, unlike Murray and Sandler.

Obviously missing out on the biggest comedic actor / dramatic turn of the 90s.

When Sarah Squirm started out with the exaggerated delivery I groaned, thinking it was going to be some schticky nonsense, but she settled into a better natural rhythm, and then kept building with the Jost Cancellations, until I was laughing out loud, which as a sociopath I rarely do. I thought to myself “Boy I feel

Yeah he definitely seemed to be nervous at first, and swallowed some of the monologue. Though as he warmed up and dropped some asides (getting into the audience response) he improved. Though he was only really comfortable in the Scary Kids and Swinging Pastor sketches. In the others he was just a little too stiff and

Yeah it’s a great impression on a technical scale, but I just never want to hear that voice or see that combover or have to think that bloated orange loser ever again.

Maybe... maybe make Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira the stars instead of this anti-vax whacko.

Yeah I think the problem was Kid A was too self-consciously challenging and anti-commercial. Amnesiac was only slightly more welcoming. And this release proves that while they still could write commercial songs, they were simply uninterested in releasing them. And while experimentation is great, once they started

How is Kristen Stewart fairer than Charlize Theron? Yep, still pissed about that. Similarly, Rachel Zegler has her work cut out for her against Gal Gadot.

Jentucky fried chicken?

And bring out Bob Dylan during the end credits for a surprise “Handle With Care”
