My kids (7 & 6)have never ridden in a car with a warranty; not sure what your angle is. All I buy is used, generally 10-year-old-plus cars. 

They’ve also never ridden in one with a known open recall, so maybe that’s where we’re going? I’d definitely want the recall remedied before I put my family in it.
