I feel you......maybe it would be better if i said, to my best estimation, white people really love this film (one that, incidentally, has no POC’s in it at all, if my memory serves correct.....now, this is not to say that all cinema has to have POC representation, but it does seem a bit, I don’t know, coincidental,

White people really, really, really like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind lol

Your hand has been over played friend.

Yes, I’m definitely wrong for preferring something that actually entertained me over a muddled mess that had no idea what it wanted to be. Except depressing. It definitely knew it wanted to be that.

No Total Recall, Predator, Interstellar, The Martian or Event Horizon, but we do get Dune, AI and Buckaroo fucking Banzai?

I would add:

AI? In the top ten? Really?

yes. it’s also literally what players have been asking for (to play in the world of ruin) since the game’s release.

...isn’t the pitch just what they told you happened in the game? Daemon hunters fighting the encroaching hordes until everyone is basically holed up in Lestallum?

Probably a multi-part DLC. As sensible the milking of anything FF15 is, I’m baffled the game is getting more negative press than FF13.

As long as Sony is ahead of their competitors this gen, they won’t allow cross-play, Microsoft needs cross-play more than Sony.

That’s actually a big surprise that a veteran couldn’t handle with the system. I’m not the veteran. I played a lot of fighting games since Amiga but none of them at any visible level of competitive play. Yet it took me only 4 matches to get used to, well everything. From the moves to rhythm of fight.

Have you ever loaded up Excel and thought, “Man, this would be amazing with Spaceship graphics?” If so, you’d probably like EVE.

I think they changed that a few hours after they got openly shamed for it.

Does Equifax’s site still have the fine print that excludes you from future lawsuits and class action settlements just by using it?

Not surprising; he’s been wanting to make a Star Trek show for years now given nobody else was interested (this is long before Discovery’s announcement). Not a parody of Star Trek, but an actual honest-to-god more classic Star Trek series.

I agree. I thought it was ok, certainly liked it enough to keep watching

Pretty much this. It’s definitely not a parody.

I liked last night’s pilot episode. It felt like a fanfic mash-up of ST:TNG and ST:DS9. Even down to the score and sound effects. I didn’t realize how much I wanted something like that until last night.

Here’s the thing: I don’t think MacFarlane intended it to be a parody. I think he meant for it to be a loving homage to Star Trek: The Next Generation, albeit with dick jokes. Compared to something like Galaxy Quest or Other Space, it’s pretty much a straight pastiche of TNG with a lot of Family Guy-style humor
