I believe they are franchise and they set their own prices so it may be a matter of location. My son was only marginally interested so it wasn’t worth the money for us. Glad to hear it worked out for you.

You didn’t even touch in the fact that the brand has also spawned actual music schools called School of Rock.  We looked into one for my kids once but they were very overpriced.
